English version – version anglaise

Once of return at the Aurora, after be trap in that strange room filled with candles, spiders crawl and spin their webs Phileas had to order to Passepartout to draw him a bath. It was not concerned himself with the idea that Jules was to probably have the same need as him to get rid of the remainders for the spider web which had both wrapped them. And then, he estimated in any event of having the priority since this Adriana Locke had left her hands walk a little everywhere on him like the eight paws of a spider

He was to lock up in the bathroom. He had to howl to Passepartout at all the half hour to bring back hot water for him and Rebecca, her, had to strike the door to the twenty minutes for tried to got he comes out of there so that Jules can also use the convenience to him. Although this last had done everything for avoid her to do he said that that did not hurry and than he could wait. The waiting to strike the door of the bathroom while howling with her cousin to hurry, had put him more than badly at ease. Already, he had sufficiently given on the matter, in his humble opinion. The whole affair had lasted more than two hours whose almost all this time had been spent by Phileas in the bath-tub.

The last time that Passepartout was to enter in bathroom while carrying the hot water by anticipating that his Master should ask it, he was to enter and had sea him leaving the bath-tub, red like a lobster, the water had however not been so hot he thought. His Master had surely to soap, rub, rinse, and take again the process several times. Phileas finished with his towel and looked on his servant whom was obviously in difficulty of hidden a smile what bring him to be strongly reacted.

(Phileas) – Bloody hell, rather than to remain to laugh, you would do better in bring me my clean clothing! I surely will not take back on these trousers, this shirt and this waistcoat! To pose this hot water pot in the corner, Verne will need some. And bring to me my clothing!

Passepartout was hastened of execute. He had brought as his Master had required clean clothing and his smoking jacket. Without posing his glance on his Master, he had put down the whole on a chair and was occupied to give the bath-tub a state so that master Jules can use it at his turn. His Master had started clothing on according to what Passepartout could say. He was occupied with his work when one shouts of his Master did him highly turned over.

(Phileas) - Aaaaaah! Passepartout kill this damn thing!

Passepartout was turned over and looked at what his Master had been able well to see. The gentleman weared his trousers and had just slip on his shirt. He pointed of his finger in a corner with the wrist of his shirt not buttoned. Passepartout followed the indication and see a white spider walking on the floor. Seeing the reaction of his Master face to face this innocent small beast and remembering too well the tone which his Master had used after one of them was to find in professor Douglas’s dessert plate, Passepartout decided use the same approach of his Master face to the problem.

(Passepartout) – Does Master would have fear of a poor small spider?

Phileas was turned over towards the servant by posting a furious and indignant glance and the tone of voice used appeared still worse for the servant.

(Phileas) - Idiot! You think that I’ve fear a damn spider! I will kill the bloody thing myself!

He caught in a stiff movement one of his boots by the point with an aim squash this arachnid with the heel. He advanced slowly by raising the shoe and thus to obtain a better position to strike. A step which seemed dubious, from the point of view of the servant. The poor servant had even advantage of difficulty of not laughing. Phileas had lowered arm in a strong and abrupt movement while growl between his teeth tight.

(Phileas) - Aaah!

Some to have to touch his target, he raised the shoe slowly and thus noted the extend of the damage caused to his victim. Phileas growled another time stronger and more furious after having to notice than his attempt against the harmful life of the insect had not lead to any results.

(Phileas) - Aarrrrrrr!

Put apart, to touch a little bit of air and the floor, he had touched noting. Before even as the heel of the shoe touches the ground, displacement of air to cause by the movement of the shoe had made flight the light spider out of the carrying blow which would have to be fatal for it. The insouciant small beast continued then its way on the wall of the bathroom under the laughter to choke of Passepartout which could not resist longer to the absurdity of the situation. His Master posed on him a frown to mark by a glance blackening the natural colour of his eyes. Passepartout ceased this laughter and swallowed his saliva hard. His Master was not to have the same vision of the problem that him, he thought. His Master had to gather his things, had caught them and him which usually was severe without being cruel to his personnel, addressed the word to his servant, this purely silly and malicious time while being.

(Phileas) – That’s it idiot, Laugh! Profit it well! Who knows how long that can last! And especially when an opportunity as this one will pass by again! A last thing! If I see again one of these small beasts access of the Aurora, at the house of Saville row or even at the manor of Shillingworth magna, as long as you will be with my service, I would hold you personally in charge for bad maintains interior and you will undergo the consequences dearly for it! While waiting, idiot made me disappear this monstrosity!

His last sentence had been known as more extremely and while supporting on each word. The Master left the bathroom in slamming the door violently. Passepartout remained a little flabbergasted but he couldn’t be solved to want some seriously with his Master for his attitude. He was a servant, he had to generally work with people and he was to pay to support moods of them. Obviously, insulted being and swear at were not to make party of his work. It was always difficult on moral of somebody, but the Master Phileas Fogg was like that, one could not change him. Passepartout completed his work by preserving anyway a same small something against his Master and especially by preserving the intention of ignore him or to address the word to him the least most often possible and to most formally possible when that could not be to avoid, right as he always did when he it had something against his Master.

Phileas lock himself in his cabin until Jules also have took a bath and that has to him cools his temperament and gave a progress report on the whole business for finally seeing the exaggeration and indeed the humour which could be drawn of it. He would have with made excuse with close to his servant and he would make it as soon as the opportunity would arise in the principal cabin of the Aurora.
